Buenos Aires, December 23 (NA) — Otamendi Clinic released the third medical bulletin on Tuesday regarding the health of former President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, who remains hospitalized after undergoing surgery last Saturday. According to the official report accessed by the Argentine News Agency, the patient «continues her evolution of acute appendicitis with localized peritonitis,» and is undergoing intravenous antibiotic treatment with peritoneal drainage. Her condition is «within the expected parameters for the case» and she has no fever. It was also indicated that she will remain hospitalized until the relevant treatment is completed. Fernández de Kirchner was hospitalized and operated on Saturday after presenting a case of acute appendicitis, confirmed by the corresponding medical studies. Since then, the clinic has been reporting her progress through official medical bulletins.
